North West Minor Hockey Association will be conducting evaluations for 13 year old - Minor Bantam A1 hockey on the following dates:

Saturday, October 3rd 1:15 pm Mosienko Arena
Tuesday, October 6th 7:30 pm Pioneer Arena
Saturday, October 10th 1:15 pm Pioneer Arena

Parent/Guardians and Players, Tryouts for 9A2 start on October 7th, 2009.

The tryouts consist of 3 on ice sessions and will be evaluated by independent evaluators. The Evaluators determine which players will form the A2 team and which players will be part of the A3 team. A2 tryout schedule:

9 YEAR OLD
NWMHA 9A2 - 07/10/2009 - 6:30 PM 1 hr Pioneer

NWMHA 9A2 - 14/10/2009 - 5:45 PM 1 hr Old Ex

NWMHA 9A2 - 17/10/2009 12:00 PM 1 hr Mosienko

Please bring your copy of the registration form with you to the first tryout. Players released from SOMHA tryouts and reporting to A2 tryouts must pay a $30.00 tryout fee prior to their first A2 tryout. Players who registered for A3 (did not pay the $30.00 tryout fee at registration) who want to attend tryouts must pay a $30.00 tryout fee prior to their first A2 tryout.

If you are registered for A3 and do not attend tryouts, your coach will contact you on or before October 18th to let you know when your first practice is scheduled. If you have any questions regarding tryouts, please contact me (Kevin Bumstead) at 779-3823.

IT’S A NEW GAME:
NEW STANDARD OF PLAY AND RULE EMPHASIS
TO TAKE EFFECT IN MINOR HOCKEY

Minor hockey at all levels of play in all 13 Branches across Canada will get a facelift this season with the implementation of a new standard of play and rule emphasis initiative, placing the focus squarely on the building blocks of the game: skating, puck possession and proper body positioning. These changes will enhance player opportunities for skill development at all levels of play, with the goal of providing a positive minor hockey experience for all involved. "It’s A New Game"
